Dear Resident
The parents of a man who has been left with a catastrophic brain injury after being assaulted in Hemel Hempstead have appealed for people to come forward with information. Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident, which happened outside Leverstock Green Cricket Club in Bedmond Road on Saturday 26 July at 2.06am. As the police investigation continues, the victim’s parents have released a statement appealing to the local community saying: “Our dear son has suffered a catastrophic brain injury as a result of this senseless, violent assault. “This has been lifechanging both for him and for the rest of our family. “We ask that someone from our community comes forward to assist the police, so that another family, in the future, will not experience what we are going through." Three 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. They are on police bail while the investigation continues. Detective Constable Daniel Noyes said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this assault which has left the victim with life changing injuries. “We believe there are people who have information about this incident who are yet to speak to police. Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.” Those with information can email daniel.noyes@herts.police.uk, quoting crime reference 41/69755/25. You can also report information online at https://orlo.uk/bFJMk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at https://orlo.uk/jSY44 or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. | ||
